Ado-Ekiti Progressive Union, UK, Ireland, Commends Gov. Oyebanji’s Steady Progress

The Ado-Ekiti Progressive Union (APU) of the United Kingdom and Ireland has expressed its admiration for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration in Ekiti State, citing significant progress in key areas.

The commendation came during the union’s monthly meeting held in May 2024, which was attended by the Director General of Ekiti Diaspora Relations, Dr. Adeola Adeleye-Fasubaa.

The meeting was also a celebration of Mrs. Bola Afolabi-Adeniyi’s retirement after 40 years of dedicated service in the UK. Mrs. Afolabi-Adeniyi, who currently serves as the Welfare Secretary for the APU UK and Ireland, was honored for her long-standing commitment and contributions to the community.

Dr. Fasubaa conveyed Governor Oyebanji’s best wishes to the union’s president, Prince Adeniran Adewunmi, and the assembled members.

She highlighted the governor’s six-point agenda, focusing on tourism, agriculture, investments, and security, and reiterated the notable advancements being made under his leadership.

During an interactive session, members of the union shared their views and discussed the ongoing developments in Ekiti State.

The dialogue underscored a collective appreciation for the governor’s initiatives and their positive impact on the region.Attendees at the meeting included notable members such as Prince Adeniran Adewunmi, Mr. Dotun Kolawole, Pastor Dr. Mopelola Oladapo, Mr. Kayode Masha, Mrs. Bola Fatimehin, Mr. and Mrs. Foluso Fatimehin, Mrs. Mary Ilesanmi, Mrs. Osho, Mrs. Ariike Ojo, Mrs. Bola Adeniyi, Mrs. Adebola Oso, and Mrs. Helen Modupe Ekundayo.

The event not only celebrated a distinguished career but also reinforced the strong connection between the Ekiti diaspora and their home state, with a shared commitment to its continued growth and development.
