The domestication of DPO certification aims to create a robust pool of skilled professionals within Nigeria’s burgeoning digital economy. NDPC National Commissioner/CEO, Dr. Vincent Olatunji, highlighted that this initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and will provide significant employment opportunities for Nigerian youth.

Minister Tijani underscored the critical importance of data protection in today’s increasingly interconnected world, emphasizing that “The more connected we are, the more vulnerable we are.” He described the DPO certification program as a strategic investment in the nation’s human capital, ensuring Nigeria remains at the forefront of data protection best practices.
